    U.S. rig count increased by 1, is at 563

    This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. decreased by 1 last week, resulting in a total count of 563 rigs. Canada increased by 6 over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 186 rigs.

    Breakdown by region

    Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, the Cana Woodford, and DJ-Niobrara experienced an increase this week.

    Meanwhile, 1 region experienced a decrease this week:

    • The Granite Wash is down 18, at 18.
