(World Oil)– EnerMech has won a significant contract to provide subsea pre-commissioning and specialist services for a major offshore gas development in Australia’s East Browse basin. The work will support the second phase of the project’s installation campaign, scheduled between October 2025 and April 2026.

The contract scope includes riser and umbilical services such as flooding, top-up, and leak testing of flexible risers, along with post-loadout and post-installation testing of dynamic umbilicals. Offshore activity will center on a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility, with supporting work carried out across sites in Malaysia and Australia.

“This is a significant gas development and our involvement in this crucial phase strengthens recognition of our expertise in the country’s LNG sector,” said EnerMech Chief Executive Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr.  “Lower-carbon fuels are increasingly contributing to the overall energy mix and our specialist team in Australia is committed to supporting this evolution by deploying our market-leading procedures, methodologies and equipment to ensure successful delivery of this campaign.”

“Contracts like this are awarded based on past and current performance and proven capability in this sector. EnerMech has a track record of bringing agile project management to meet dynamic mobilization schedules, well established skills, expertise and methodologies and high-quality, well-maintained equipment,” added Jason Jeow, Vice President, Asia Pacific at EnerMech.

This new award follows EnerMech’s involvement in previous large-scale LNG projects in Australia, including Wheatstone and Gorgon and Pluto LNG 2.
