Rocket has hired Jim Dalrymple as principal of industry relations, a role focused on building relationships with MLSs, trade associations, brokerage leaders and technology partners across the housing industry. As a homeownership platform connecting search, financing and servicing, Rocket and Redfin are investing in the relationships that will shape where this industry goes next.

Jim joins Rocket after spending more than seven years at Inman, a leading real estate news source, most recently serving as editorial director. During his journalism career, Jim earned a reputation for thoughtful reporting, deep industry knowledge and a balanced perspective on the issues shaping housing today. His work has covered everything from brokerage and MLS innovation to mortgage lending, proptech, market trends and industry policy, giving him a unique understanding of the people and organizations driving the real estate industry forward.

In his new role, Jim will focus on building and deepening Rocket’s relationships with industry stakeholders, helping ensure that the people shaping real estate policy understand what Rocket is building and why it matters for consumers.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been endlessly impressed with the people and organizations working in this industry,” Jim said. “Change has arrived with astonishing speed in recent years, but this is an especially critical moment with huge opportunities. I’m thrilled to join Rocket during what is clearly a singular moment for the business of helping people find, finance and own homes.”

Joe Rath, head of industry relations at Rocket, added, “Jim brings something rare: genuine credibility with the people and organizations across this industry, earned over years of fair and rigorous reporting. He understands the complexity of the issues we’re all navigating right now, and he brings trusted relationships that will be important as Rocket propels this industry forward.”

Please join us in welcoming Jim to Rocket!
