    U.S. rig count increased by 1, is at 544

    This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. increased by 1 last week, resulting in a total count of 544 rigs. Canada had no change over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 130 rigs.

    Breakdown by region

    Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, the Granite Wash and Haynesville regions experienced an increase this week.

    Meanwhile, 1 region experienced a decrease this week:

    • The Cana Woodford is down 1, at 20.

    Williston 28 0

    All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
