    Cboe Launches Two New Indices in Q1 2026

    Cboe Global Indices is a leader in the creation and dissemination of volatility and derivatives-based indices, offering services that span product design, calculation, administration, listing, trading and benchmark licensing. As the largest U.S. options exchange operator, Cboe’s pool of derivatives data and proprietary pricing algorithms enable its Global Indices team to develop complex index concepts that are central to Cboe’s ecosystem. Read on for a recap of the Cboe Global Indices launches and milestones achieved in the first quarter of 2026.

    Index Launches in Q1 2026

    • Cboe Validus Russell 2000® Dynamic PutWrite Index (RUTD) | This index is a part of the Cboe Validus dynamic PutWriteSM series where the index tracks the value of a rule-based investment strategy which consists of overlaying a basket of Russell 2000 (RUT) a.m. settled standard-expiry short put options over a money market account invested at the 4-week daily Treasury Bill rate.
    • Cboe Validus Russell 2000® Dynamic BuyWrite Index (CALRD) | This index is a part of the Cboe Validus dynamic BuyWrite SM series where the index tracks the value of an active rule-based investment strategy which consists of overlaying a basket of Russell 2000 (RUT) a.m. settled standard expiry short call options over a long position invested in the Russell 2000 with dividends reinvested.
