We’re heading into the last day of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, but many of the top deals we’ve been watching are still live. This includes devices from all price points, from Apple’s latest MacBook Pro M5 to the high-performing ThinkPad E16 at a whopping $770 off, and the jack-of-all-trades Dell Inspiron 15 for $599.

We’ve personally tested (almost) every one of these laptops, and if we haven’t, we’ve tested previous versions, only highlighting models we’d buy ourselves. From Lenovo’s reliable ThinkPads to the solid bang-for-buck you get with an Acer Aspire, here are 30+ of the best laptop deals we’ve seen during Amazon’s Spring Sale.

This makes for a very power-efficient device, especially for a 16-inch. A perfect example of an all-day workhorse.

Acer’s Aspire 14 is a reliable everyday workhorse with a very efficient battery and slim form factor. If you’re looking for an easy-to-carry laptop that will last you all day, it fits the ticket, especially at this price..

We’re big fans of the 15-inch MacBook Air around here. With Apple’s latest upgrades to the Air series (more starting RAM for the same price, support for two external monitors with the lid open), the MacBook Air M4 feels a lot like a MacBook Pro.

With the thin and light build, gorgeous Liquid Retina display, and all-day battery with the power-efficient M4 processor, the MacBook Air is still the best Mac for most folks.

Want a big-screen laptop for work that’s actually affordable? HP’s 16-inch OmniBook 5 gives you a lot of bang for your buck with lots of ports, 16GB of RAM, an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor that’s currently $200 off. Best of all — I reviewed it last year and found the battery life to be outstanding.

The Surface Laptop had one of the best batteries when it launched in 2024, and it’s still up near the top today. It’s got a sleek build and lightweight form factor that makes for a solid all-around main driver. This version has 16GB of RAM and the snappy and efficient Snapdragon X Elite chip for all-day use on one charge.

Although it may be an older model, this 2025 LG Gram 17 remains one of the best ultraportable laptops today. It measures 13.98 x 9.54 x 0.66 inches and weighs just under three pounds. The device runs on an Intel Lunar Lake processor alongside 32GB of RAM, putting it in line with some high-end models in its price range. A laptop like this sleek can run pretty warm. Thankfully, the Lunar Lake chip is very energy efficient, so it almost never runs hot.

The Zenbook A14 is one of the lightest laptops I’ve ever tested — hands down. Despite its featherweight status, however, it has a solid build and some respectable hardware. You get 16GB of RAM, a brilliant OLED display, and a Snapdragon X Plus processor for responsive performance (and fantastic battery life).

    Review: Asus Zenbook A14

The Zenbook A14 earned our Editors’ Choice award last year for combining all of these things into an enjoyable package. The 2025 model is still absolutely competitive for everyday tasks, office workflows, and all-day usage.

The MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip is a great option if you want a powerful laptop but want to stay under two grand. The difference in processing speed compared to the Pro chips is most noticeable during the most demanding workflows, so unless you really need top-tier performance, we recommend considering the base model Pro — especially while it’s $100 off.

    When is Amazon’s Spring Sale?

The Big Spring Sale kicks off on March 25th, 2026, running until March 31st, 2026. Keep in mind that many laptops will actually see price reductions before that time, however, as retailers move to clear inventory ahead of the launch date.

Is it worth buying a laptop on sale?

Here’s the thing: manufacturers are always preparing for the next big product launch, since that’s where they can charge the biggest premium. Laptops from previous product lines, six months to a year ago go on sale to make room for new products in upcoming launches.

    Are older laptops still good?

Technology cycles so fast that laptops from one, two, or three years ago are not that different from today’s, especially for everyday users. Many of the laptops on sale are within this time frame and are absolutely competitive with the latest laptops — which often come with steep markups.

How did we choose these Amazon Spring Sale deals?

ZDNET only covers deals that we’d consider buying ourselves. Most, if not all, of these products we’ve tested (or very similar configurations in the same product family) have given the thumbs up.

We tend to highlight deals that are either 20% off or are hardly ever on sale, using established price-comparison tools and trackers to determine how often they drop.

We also looked at customer reviews to see what matters to real people who already own and use the deals we’re recommending. Our recommendations may also be based on our own testing — in addition to extensive research and comparison shopping. The goal is to deliver the most accurate advice to help you shop smarter.
