    • Amazon is experiencing a disruption.
    • Users report checkout, product page, and mobile app issues.
    • Amazon is working to fix the issue.

If you’re having trouble viewing an Amazon product’s price or using the Amazon app, you’re not the only one. Amazon is experiencing a disruption, according to Downdetector. Over 150,000 reports have been submitted to the site, Thursday.

Downdetector’s map shows the partial outage impacting major US cities, including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco, and Seattle. The service, which corrals user reports, is owned by ZDNET’s parent company, Ziff Davis.

    Latest update

As of 6:20 p.m. ET, the total number of reports has decreased significantly, now down to roughly 2,000 (from 220,000, at its peak). Some users are reportedly able to add items to carts and make purchases again, while others are still saying that listings on their Amazon site and apps are directing to blank pages.

    Earlier reports

As of roughly 4:15 p.m. ET, the total number of reports in the analysis period was 159,997, with a spike of more than 21,000 at one point early Thursday afternoon, Downdetector said. Customers reported, including on social media, issues with checkout, the mobile app, and product pages. Checkout issues were the most common problem.

The actual number of those impacted by this partial outage may vary.

Amazon acknowledged the issue Thursday afternoon and said it is working to fix it.

“We’re sorry that some customers may be experiencing issues while shopping. We appreciate customers’ patience as we work to resolve the issue,” an Amazon spokesperson wrote in an email to ZDNET. What caused the partial outage is still unclear.

    This is a developing story.
