The partnership will allow Planet customers who are preparing to close on a home or reviewing existing coverage to connect with licensed insurance agents to compare policy options and receive guidance during the selection process, the companies said.

Planet customers will be able to compare insurance policies from more than 200 carriers and review coverage features and pricing options.

The announcement comes as homeowners insurance premiums have increased across much of the U.S. In 2025, most states recorded higher average costs, with many experiencing double-digit percentage increases, according to industry data cited by the companies.

“Buying a home doesn’t always go according to plan, but your protection should,” said Ken Quantie, senior vice president for Planet Insurance. “This partnership is about easing the homeownership journey. With Goosehead, our customers have an option for expert guidance, more coverage choices and a smoother path to the coverage they need to protect their investment.”

“At Goosehead, the client lives at the center of our universe, and Planet shares that mindset,” said Mark Jones Jr., chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Goosehead Insurance. “Together, we’re bringing more choice, reducing complexity and streamlining the process for new and existing homeowners alike.”

The companies said the partnership is designed to integrate insurance considerations earlier in the homebuying process and allow homeowners to revisit coverage options over time. It is also intended to support real estate agents, homebuilders and internal teams by helping keep transactions on schedule.
