Price Forbes Capital Markets, the investment banking and ILS capital raising unit of reinsurance broker Price Forbes Re, has hired Mike Ward from Artex Risk Solutions as Vice President of its Capital Markets team in Bermuda.

In his new role, Ward will be tasked with driving the delivery of capital solutions across primarily the ILS markets and reinsurance-based equity markets to seamlessly connect re/insurers with alternative capital sources.

He will also lead investor outreach efforts to foster strong, strategic partnerships with institutional capital providers and asset managers worldwide.

Additionally, he will assist with cross-selling and growth initiatives throughout the wider Price Forbes Re Group.

An executive with a background across the capital markets and ILS industry, Ward joins the firm from Artex Risk Solutions, where he most recently served as Vice President.

Within this role, he primarily dealt with and managed a portfolio of insurance-linked securities focused clients.

Prior to joining Artex, Ward spent over two years at insurance and reinsurance broker Aon, where he served as a Senior Account Executive.

Before he joined Aon, Ward spent over a year at Ernst & Young (EY), where he occupied positions involved in the execution of audits for both listed and non-listed property & casualty (P&C) and life reinsurance companies/groups, captives, and a select few investment entities.
