In 2026, a reliable internet connection is key for streaming, working from home, surfing the web, and more. But it’s not always cheap. Lucky for you, you may be able to scoop up Optimum’s new $25 per month fiber internet plan, which locks in the affordable rate for 5 years.

Here’s how it works. If you’re a new customer who signs up for 300 Mbps Optimum Fiber internet, you can take advantage of this offer. New customers can also score more savings by bundling Optimum internet with Optimum Mobile and Optimum TV, which can save up to $15 per month.

The “$25 for 5” campaign locks your price in so you don’t have to worry about sneaky inflation, and you can be confident you’re getting fast fiber internet at a great value. The fine print specifically details: “300 Mbps internet service auto-renews monthly at $25/month + taxes & fees for 60 months, after which price will go up no more than $15/mo per year until standard rates are reached. So there’s room for a price increase, but it’s a ways away.

“With 25 for 5, we’re redefining what customers should expect from an internet provider,” said Mike Parker, President of Consumer Services, in a March 3 press release. “People want fast internet they can rely on, without surprises. This offer delivers Optimum Fiber internet at $25 a month — no gimmicks, no short‑term promo — just reliable, high‑speed fiber internet locked in for five years.”

Also: The right way to run an internet speed test (and how I use the results for better Wi-Fi)

You get 5 full years of Optimum’s fiber internet, which the brand says is “blazing-fast.”

In recent speed tests, Ookla (disclosure: Ookla is currently owned by the same parent company as ZDNET, Ziff Davis, though Accenture is acquiring it) recognized Optimum Fiber internet as the fastest and most reliable internet in New York and New Jersey. Findings also revealed that Optimum outperformed all major 5G Home internet carriers in speed, reliability, and consistency.

Also: Slow home internet? Here are 3 things I always check first to regain fast Wi-Fi speeds

This offer features 1 Gig of internet (up to 940 Mbps download/up to 35 Mbps upload speeds), though speeds, prices & availability vary by area. You’ll also have to enter your address to see speed and Optimum availability in your area. Unfortunately, I can’t personally use this promotional offer since my rural area isn’t supported, but many regions and states are included.

Note: Whole Home Wi-Fi auto-renews monthly at $5/month + taxes & fees for 6 months, after which the price will increase to $10/month. Standard rates subject to change. Subscription auto-renews each month until canceled. Cancel any time at 888-494-3508.

    How I rated this deal

I’m not an internet expert, but this seems like a pretty decent deal on Optimum fiber internet if your area is covered. $25 per month for a plan that typically costs $45 per month with a 5-year price lock sounds good to me. In the end, you have the chance to save a decent bit on home internet, and in five years, when price increases take effect, you can always switch to another provider or change your options. I often cover home internet offers for ZDNET, and while this one may be more limited, it is one of the better opportunities I’ve seen over the last 12 months. That’s why I gave this offer a 4/5 Editor’s Deal rating.

    When does this deal expire?

We’re not sure when this offer will sunset, but we’re sure it won’t stick around forever. If you’re interested, check out Optimum online or visit a local store.
