It appears that Amazon’s third annual Big Spring Sale will return in 2026, despite the company not yet publicly sharing any dates or details. Early leaks from members of Amazon’s Seller Central platform, the web-based dashboard for third-party sellers to manage their business on the Amazon marketplace, detailed preparations for the upcoming sale event. The leaks suggest that Amazon’s spring savings event will return from March 25-31 this year.

In a Feb. 10 email, a PR representative for Amazon told ZDNET that we would be informed as soon as information was available. “While Amazon has not yet made any announcements about this event, we will let you know as soon as we have news to share.” Amazon did not confirm a 2026 Big Spring Sale, nor did it confirm the rumored dates of March 25-31, but also did not deny it.

One Amazon seller posted on LinkedIn on Feb.10, outlining the specific dates for the sale and sharing more details on deal submissions for sellers. The user’s LinkedIn post included a screenshot that read “Amazon is now accepting deals submissions for the Big Spring Sale 2026 event.”

The screenshot also notes that deals must be submitted by March 24, 2026 and that the focus sales categories are outdoor & garden, home, beauty & fashion, pets, travel, and other seasonally applicable categories. Older threads on the Amazon Seller Central from Feb. 12, 2025, detail similar information about deals submissions for the 2025 Big Spring Sale around this same time period last year.

According to Bradley Sutton with the AM|PM Podcast, Amazon’s Seller Central platform revealed the 2026 sale dates as early as Jan. 30, with some products already being flagged as eligible for Seller Central deals and Lighting Deals then.

Last year, Amazon’s second annual Big Spring Sale (commonly known as the Amazon Spring Sale or Spring Deal Days in the UK) also ran from March 25-31. Amazon didn’t publicly confirm dates or even announce the 2025 Big Spring Sale until March 18 last year (though I was able to determine last year’s sale dates thanks to Seller Central leaks, too), so it’s possible we won’t see any public details on this year’s event anytime soon.

As ZDNET’s deal connoisseur, I’ll be using my extensive hands-on tech experience and seasoned commerce skills to cover upcoming sales and deals. I break down everything you need to know to shop like a pro any time of the year — plus all of the details about Amazon’s likely-upcoming Big Spring Sale. Happy shopping!

When does the Amazon Spring Sale start?

According to early leaks, Amazon’s Big Spring sale starts Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and ends Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

My personal estimations placed the Big Spring Sale returning sometime between March 20-31. Amazon has not yet confirmed the return of the sale or specified sale dates, but information on the Amazon Seller Central platform indicates preparations are underway.

Like last year (and all of Amazon’s other sale events), I anticipate Amazon’s Big Spring Sale to start at 12:01 a.m. PST on March 25, or 3:01 a.m. EST if you’re on the East Coast like ZDNET. Amazon’s sales typically end on the same schedule, with deal events closing at midnight PST on the last day of the sale.

What is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?

Amazon frequently runs sales several times during the year, and currently has tons of products discounted ahead of Presidents’ Day. The company’s most popular Prime Day sales occur in October and July.

In 2024, Amazon introduced the Big Spring Sale, signaling a new annual event in March on the retail giant’s calendar. It was not a Prime-exclusive event. However, like the last two years, expect to see select exclusive Prime member offers. Unlike Prime Day, the spring sale runs for multiple days, not just two. According to early leaks, this year’s sale event is March 25-31, 2026. In the UK, the event is called Amazon Spring Deal Days.

Essentially, you can expect tons of deals across almost every product category, especially seasonally appropriate areas like outdoor & garden, home, beauty & fashion, and more, all available for a limited time.

How long is the Amazon Spring Sale?

Amazon’s 2026 Big Spring Sale is a multi-day shopping event that will stretch from Wednesday, March 25, to Tuesday, March 31, 2026, according to early rumors. Last year, the Big Spring Sale ran during the same March 25-31 window.

What are the dates of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?

The dates of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale are Wednesday, March 25, to Tuesday, March 31, 2026, according to early leaks.

    • In 2025, the event ran from March 25-31.
    • In 2024, the Big Spring sale ran from March 20-25.

Do I have to be a Prime member to shop Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?

No, you don’t have to be a Prime member to shop this sale event. All customers can shop the Amazon Big Spring Sale, although, as in years past, Prime members will presumably have special access to select exclusive deals.

If you’re not a Prime member yet, you can join before the Big Spring Sale kickoff to receive member benefits like free shipping, entertainment, exclusive savings, and more.

How much is an Amazon Prime membership?

Amazon Prime costs $15 per month, or you can purchase an annual membership for $139, to save several dollars.

College students and those aged 18-24 can get a discount via Prime for Young Adults and pay nearly $8 per month or $69 per year. In addition, those with qualifying government assistance (including select seniors) can receive a Prime membership at a discount.

How can I maximize my savings during the Big Spring Sale?

As a deals & shopping editor, I can recommend a few tips to help you maximize your sales on Amazon. If you want to shop the sale, you should consider getting a Prime account, even if the Big Spring Sale isn’t a Prime-exclusive event. In addition to free two-day shipping, membership is easy to set up and gives you access to exclusive offers on the site. Plus, you can use a free trial to shop for the best savings without spending a dime on a membership.

If you end up starting a free trial (or already have Prime), ensure your payment options (like one-click settings and your default delivery address) are correct. This way, you can check out quickly if needed during the sale. Other ways to prepare for spring savings include researching and planning potential purchases, listing want and need items, and setting a budget before sales.

How can I find discounted electronics during the Amazon Spring Sale?

There are a few ways to catch flagship tech gear and gadgets on discount during Amazon’s spring sale. Scouring the Big Spring Sale homepage will help surface popular deals and filter search results. You’ll also be able to shop competing sale events from other retailers as more deal events begin to fill up the March calendar. Keeping up with deals and discounts vetted by ZDNET’s team of experts is another way to find the best deals that will surface on Amazon during the Spring Sale. We’ll be working around the clock to surface the best offers as they come up, including lightning deals and limited-time offers.

Are Amazon’s Spring Sale deals worth it?

The validity and “worthiness” of Amazon’s Spring Sale deals won’t be measurable until these deals begin to go live, but based on past history, it’s not a flimsy event. While it’s true that Prime Day events typically offer some of the best savings, particularly on Amazon’s flagship tech — like Fire Sticks, Fire tablets and TVs, and Echo devices — the Big Spring Sale also offers some degree of discount on popular devices. The first year Amazon held the Big Spring Sale, we saw the best prices of the year on select Kindle models, and last year we saw discounts up to 40% or more across key categories, especially outdoor, home, and tech, as the retailer prepped for warmer weather, seasonal travel, and more.

When is the next Prime Day?

If Amazon sticks to its typical sale calendar, the next Prime Day sale (and the first of 2026) will likely be in July. However, there are still a few more chances to save until then, including during the Big Spring Sale.

Amazon Spring Sale vs. Prime Day: Which sales are better?

Historically, Amazon runs two Prime Day events. One is in October, and the other is in July. The retailer’s flagship Prime Day events traditionally offered some of the largest savings of the year on tons of categories ranging from home, apparel, tech, and beyond, but over the years, many have called out a decreased quality of deals and an increase in sour tactics, like inflating prices before a sale to fabricate illegitimate “discounts.”

On the flip side, the Amazon Spring Sale, unlike Prime Day events, is open to all customers, not just Prime members. It also traditionally features a focus on Easter and early Spring savings, especially across related categories like outdoor, garden, home, and more. You’ll still find deals across tech, beauty,  and more, but the event is designed to maximize the spring season.

It’s hard to compare which event offers “better” deals, since it does depend on what you’re looking for, but generally, flagship Amazon devices see better savings during Prime Day events. Regardless of when you do shop, there’s more onus on the consumer than ever before to vet and verify deals, compare prices, and use tools like Rakuten to take advantage of cash back offers when applicable — even when shopping Amazon’s sales.

What types of deals can I find during the Amazon Big Spring Sale?

Last year, Amazon promised up to 40% off across 35 categories, including home, fashion, and more. Plus, there were daily deal drops, Prime-exclusive offers, and lots of savings on Amazon Haul, the site’s budget shopping experience. Amazon hasn’t shared any more details just yet, but we’ll let you know when they do.

What are the best Amazon Spring Sale deals?

ZDNET’s experts will be searching through Amazon’s Spring Sale deals to find the best discounts by category when they become available.

What product categories are typically included in the Spring Sale?

Last year, Amazon advertised savings across “more than 35” categories. In the brand’s press release from the last day of the 2025 event, Amazon said it was a great time to “save big on end-of-season winter items or stock up on springtime favorites — from fashion and beauty to outdoor furniture and garden supplies.” Last year’s sale featured discounts of up to 40% off select items across categories, including apparel, beauty, technology, and home. Popular offers included savings on Amazon devices, kitchen appliances, electronics, cleaning and organizing gear, and more. The 2026 sale should include much of the same.

Are other retailers participating in Amazon’s Spring Sale?

Last year, several retailers jumped on the spring sale train and offered seasonal savings that overlapped with, preceded, or followed Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. We saw concurrent sales from other major competitors like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. Expect many retailers to continue dropping prices to match Amazon’s and give customers like you a choice of where to buy.

Why trust ZDNET to help you shop?

As a member of the ZDNET staff, I only write about deals that I or a team member would want to buy — devices and products we desire, need, or would recommend. I look for deals where products are at least 20% off (or are hardly ever on sale), using established price-comparison tools and trackers to determine whether the deal is on sale and how often it drops.

I also look over customer reviews to see what matters to real people who already own and use the products in the deals I recommend. These recommendations may also be based on my testing (or that of another ZDNET expert), along with extensive research and comparison shopping. The goal is to deliver the most accurate advice to help you shop smarter. ZDNET offers 33 years of experience, 30 hands-on product reviewers, and 10,000 square feet of lab space to ensure we bring you the best tech.

Plus, in 2026, ZDNET refined its approach to deals, developing a measurable system for sharing savings with readers like you. Our editor’s deal rating badges are affixed to most of our deal content, making it easy to interpret our expertise to help you make the best purchase decision.
