Ledger Investing, the insurance technology (insurtech) and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused company, has announced the hiring of Ryan Saul as Managing Director, Reinsurance and Capital Markets at Ledger Capital Markets, LLC.

ryan-saul-ledger-investingLedger Capital Markets, LLC is the SEC registered broker-dealer unit of the company and also a Member of FINRA and SIPC.

Ryan Saul has worked in reinsurance and capital markets, having begun his career as a broker in 2000 and since then worked in both reinsurance broking and insurance investment organisations.

Most recently, Saul spent over 4 years working at reinsurance broker BMS Re as a Senior Vice President focused on new client origination.

Prior to that he spent 5 years working in insurance asset management at Conning as a Director of Business Development, before which he worked for almost 5 years at New England Asset Management (NEAM), again in business development focused on the insurance and reinsurance industries investment needs.

Saul worked at Aon in reinsurance broking between 2000 and 2011, as a Vice President focused on client development, property specialty, and assisting with client origination.

Earlier this year Ledger Investing hired experienced actuarial and reinsurance executive John Kulik as Senior Reinsurance Actuary on its Broker Team.

In late 2024 we reported that Ledger Investing had surpassed $2 billion in casualty ILS placements with institutional investors, a major milestone reflecting growing institutional appetite for diversified insurance risk.

Ledger has also traded over $250 million in the secondary market for casualty ILS.
