Karen Clark & Company (KCC), the catastrophe risk modelling specialist, has launched RiskInsight® Version 4.15, the latest version of its RiskInsight open loss modeling platform, which introduces advanced performance and system enhancements to accelerate and streamline risk analysis for insurers, reinsurers, and insurance-linked securities (ILS) managers.

karen-clark-company-logoAccording to the announcement, the update also enables quicker and more efficient loss analyses, particularly for large hurricane and severe convective storm portfolios.

“Further analysis performance advancements are bolstered by cloud-hosted machine upgrades, including faster job start-up times, and Linux compatibility for worker machines,” KCC explained.

It’s important to highlight that a number of ILS managers and many reinsurance firms utilise KCC’s catastrophe models to assess and price risk, which therefore makes these improvements valuable for real-time decision-making in the evolving risk landscape.

KCC also noted that the latest version of its RiskInsight platform features enhanced worker-machine logic and introduces a new “helper queue” feature for streamlined analysis management.

With this update, designated helper queues automatically pull tasks from other job queues with multiple pending analyses, significantly increasing throughput across the platform.

Moreover, KCC’s comprehensive API suite enables organisations to integrate RiskInsight with their internal systems and automate workflows at scale, to support faster and more informed decisions.

Building on this, Version 4.15 introduces new endpoints for analysis management and supports combining multiple individual results into a single, unified output.

Additional enhancements include faster EP Curve loading times, and customisable return period displays.

Marshall Pagano, KCC Senior Director, Client Services, commented: “RiskInsight 4.15 delivers KCC’s greatest single-version upgrade to analysis performance to date. These advancements demonstrate our commitment to providing the industry’s most accurate models at the speed that decisionmakers require.”

Karen Clark, KCC CEO, said: “As KCC expands globally, we understand the importance of a fast and efficient multi-model platform.

“RiskInsight is the only industrial-strength modeling platform that delivers complete transparency on all model components, as well as powerful model-building tools, so (re)insurers can efficiently run multiple high-resolution models—including their own custom models—on one platform.”
